How to Make your Business Stand Out from the Crowd
As companies become more and more technologically advanced you may be thinking that print marketing is dead. Well good news (especially for us) – it’s not! Print marketing is actually continuing to grow and thrive right along with technology. According to a Pitney Bowes survey, 76% of small businesses say their ideal marketing strategy involves a combination of both print and digital communication. Print will continue to be a part of many marketing campaigns for several reasons.
Print marketing materials stand out.
In a world where our email inboxes are constantly overflowing, print advertising can be a breath of fresh air. With so many companies competing in the online space they almost cancel each other out. Think about that stuffed inbox, you probably delete the majority of those emails without even reading them. But when you get your daily mail, you probably check out each piece before throwing it in the recycling bin. Print materials warrant that extra attention, thanks to the reduced amount that people are receiving and your awesome high quality custom marketing materials.
Print and technology can be friends.
Instead of fighting the technology wave, ride alongside it. Or surf on top of it? Either way, print and tech can actually work really well together. Unique techniques, such as using a QR code on your business marketing materials, is a way to capture your audience’s attention and bring them to your website. Just make sure they know WHY they should use this QR code and where it will lead them. Oh yeah, and make sure it works too.
It’s easy on customers.
Customers don’t have to open an email to see your gorgeous content. When you send an eye-catching postcard or flyer the recipient sees it first-hand. They don’t need to scroll through their email and click to open first in order to see it.
Great way to demonstrate your brand.
Of course your website most likely showcases your awesome brand, but print marketing is also a great way to promote your brand. With so many customized options, your materials can incorporate your logo, company colors, personalized icons and more. You can also include a quick “About” section to further explain what your company is all about and some calls to action to tell potential customers what to do next.
Another way to promote your social media channels.
You likely have links to all of your social media channels on your website, in your emails, at the end of your email signatures, etc. But not using your print materials to promote it as well is just wasteful. Some words of wisdom, and yes this has happened before, don’t just include the graphics for Facebook, Twitter, etc. You will need to add the actual link. Also, don’t include links to every social media account you have ever logged in to. Just include the top few that you are the most active with.
